Create, organize, and track tasks in BlockForge.
Overview
BlockForge includes integrated task management that works seamlessly with your pages. Create tasks directly in your content or manage them from the dedicated Tasks page.
Creating Tasks
In Pages
- Type
/taskor/todoin the editor - Create task items with checkboxes
- Set due dates and priorities inline
- Tasks sync automatically with the Tasks page
Task List Block
The task list block supports:
- Multiple task items
- Individual task checkboxes
- Inline editing
- Nested subtasks (coming soon)
Tasks Page
Access the Tasks page from the main navigation to:
- View all tasks across all pages
- Filter by status - All, Active, Completed
- Filter by priority - High, Medium, Low
- Search tasks - Find specific tasks quickly
- Sort options - By due date, priority, or creation date
Calendar View
Visualize your tasks in the Calendar page:
- Monthly view - See all tasks for the month
- Daily view - Focus on today's tasks
- Task indicators - Color-coded by priority
- Quick actions - Mark complete, edit, or delete
Task Properties
Status
- Active - Not yet completed
- Completed - Task finished
- Archived - Completed and archived
Priority
- High - Urgent tasks
- Medium - Normal priority
- Low - Low priority
Due Dates
- Set due date - Click the calendar icon
- Overdue indicators - Visual alerts for past due tasks
- Upcoming - See tasks due soon
Task Actions
In the Editor
- Check/Uncheck - Click the checkbox
- Edit - Click on the task text
- Delete - Select and press Delete
In Tasks Page
- Mark Complete - Click checkbox
- Edit - Click task title
- Change Priority - Use priority dropdown
- Change Due Date - Click date picker
- Delete - Click delete button
Linking Tasks to Pages
Tasks are automatically linked to their parent page:
- Click task in Tasks page to jump to page
- See page context for each task
- Filter tasks by page or collection
Best Practices
- Use clear task descriptions - Be specific about what needs to be done
- Set due dates - Keep track of deadlines
- Use priorities - Focus on what matters most
- Review regularly - Check Tasks page daily
- Archive completed tasks - Keep your active list clean
